I'm not sure about many things in my life except my love for painting. I can't really explain how I feel when I paint, but all I know is that I'm at my most happiest.


I never think of myself as a good artist, I paint because I genuinely like to. If people think I'm good, it's a nice bonus, but it's not what motivates me.


It still blows my mind that people choose my work to hang on their walls. I try not to think about it, because I probably wouldn't believe it.


The art of painting is quite a strange process. I stare at a blank canvas, imagining all the possibilities; what colours to choose and which type of brush stroke to apply. I love the way it all comes together and often think of what Renoir used to say about the completion of a painting:


"It's only finished when you have no more left to say"


That pretty much applies to me.
